Regenerating native hedgerows for future generations

Hedges are a rich tapestry across our countryside. Wildlife use them like motorways to explore their neighbourhood. My aim is to plant 5 miles of new native hedges by 2025. I have planted 1.9 miles so far.
I also plant trees and last winter helped to create a stunning lime tree avenue for a client with 29 mature lime trees. Please see the gallery to view the photos.
At Cheshire Hedges, hedge laying is a skill that proves incredibly popular with clients in order to restore an old hedge into an amazing landscape feature. Either as a field boundary or a garden hedge I lay them using the Cheshire style of hedge laying. I am a member of the National Hedge Laying Society.
I also really enjoy teaching hedge laying to small groups or one to one with landowners.
At Cheshire Hedges I enjoy working in the countryside helping to restore a forgotten part of the landscape. Previous projects include woodland management, creating new footpaths and working with local volunteer groups. I also enjoy creating landscape features in the garden.
Kerridge stone is in the photo opposite and recycled from an old patio to create a new set of steps.
