I enjoy competing at local and national hedge laying matches.
Hedge Laying
I have been laying hedges for over 18 years and enjoy working outdoors. Either as a field boundary or a garden hedge I lay hedges using the Cheshire style of hedge laying.
I am a contractor member and committee member of the National Hedge Laying Society.
I also really enjoy teaching hedge laying to small groups or one to one with landowners.
Hedge and Tree Planting
Hedges are a rich tapestry across our countryside. Wildlife use them like motorways to explore their neighbourhood. My aim is to plant 7 miles of new native hedges by 2026.
Mission accomplished. I have planted over 7 miles of new hedging over the past 10 years. I also have no further capacity for hedge planting in 2026/27 as I have 1200m planned.
